Privacy screening films
Privacy screening films are used on new or existing glass to give two-way privacy. They act as a cost-effective alternative to acid-etching, sandblasting or printing.Description Films have a finely textured matt finish and their use gives the option to remove, replace or update in the future as required. Thus, their use, gives freedom in the initial glass specification by allowing privacy to be added or changed later.
Glass manifestation films
Manifestation films are for marking large uninterrupted glazed areas in accordance with Health and Safety requirements in Documents M and N, The Building Regulations. Two levels of manifestation marking - for child and adult safety - are now required. The manifestation must also be apparent in all lighting conditions, and glass doors should be further distinguished by additional markings.
Graphics films
Graphics films are used to produce temporary or permanent individualised window graphics. Examples include the display of company logos to reinforce a corporate identity programme or for signage and wayfinding.Description Graphics can be achieved with these films either applied directly to plain glass or with a reverse cut-out of a filmed panel.Appearance A wide range of opaque, translucent and transparent colours is available.
Patterned films
Patterned films provide specifiers with the scope for permanent or temporary decoration and enhancement. They give various degrees of privacy while allowing a high level of natural light penetration. They are used in office, commercial retail and residential buildings; typical applications are glazed screens in reception areas, lobbies, corridors and internal office partitions.
